View Full Version : Custom 12" Boba Fett with removeable helmet

Well, I wanted to make one since we got a Ultimate Jango with a great headsculpt. The figure recipe is as follows:

Body, torso armor, wrist gauntlets/gloves, helmet, jetpack from Ultimate Jango.

Suit (with plastic chest bits removed), Rifle & Boots from 12" Electronic Fett.

Repainted the torso piece from the Jango to match the suit. Repainted the gauntlet/gloves, repainted the Jango helmet. Scuffed up the jetpack with silver paint. Repainted the codpiece to match my chest repaint. Cut off the stock from the rifle, painted the Jango head slightly different, put a few scars on there, greyed up the hair, and half milked out the eye due to a scar running thru it. I had to slice into the top part or the armor, so I could sneak in the shoulder cape where it should be. My favorite custom ever. And probably my best, although I don't yet have the skills of the masters here for sure. Here are some pics (sorry, my digital camera is ancient).

Awesome work!!! I like the milky eye particularly. I think you can use Model Master clear Gloss Acryl to gloss up the visor.

Thanks, not so good at faces yet, and painting something that costs me $60 (ie a sideshow fig) just isn't worth the risk at the moment. Heh. Good idea about the visor, that'd probably sell the scale much better, I never though of it for some reason. :monkey5

I have thought it strange that a lot of people seem to want to give Boba a blind eye. Was that something in the EU, or just a practical guess of his battle damage?

Well, if he has a blind spot, it makes it not so bad that he got outflanked by a blind guy with a stick. :lol :lol

Honestly, I think it's an attempt to differ him from Jango a bit. Give him a bit more character. Jango was pretty rugged, but he managed to keep his face clean and his armor shiny. Boba's a bit grittier, a bit more "lived in."

I'd like to shave his head, but I'm not sure the hollow vinyl head is thick enough...
