I just won a 7" McFarlane Movie Maniacs figure of John Shaft (Sam Jackson). I plan on customizing him (my first attempt) into an Ultimate Nicky Fury. He will 90% already done when he arrives. All I really need to add his his eye patch. What do you guys think is the best way of making it? Sculpt it? Find a place that sells mini eye patches? Any suggestions? I'm not sure sure if I'll add some scars near his eye yet or not.
BTW, I got him for $3.99 on ebay, but with shipping he came out to about $13. So not horrible since it is an older figure. I'm just glad I got him now in case Snakes on a Plane makes more people want him :lol

Is their a similarly scaled figure with a removable eye patch somewhere you could switch with? perhaps a POTC figure or something?

Not that I'm aware of. None of the PotC figures have removable eye patches either.

Well, you could either make a little eyepatch by sculpting it on the head or you could hjust sculpt the eyepatch without the string and then attach your own black thread to the head via glue...
I'd soak the string in the glue and attach it carefully with some tweezers or something...
Or you could glue a very thin wire on the head, just be sure to paint it black first. They all sound pretty difficult... I don't know...
Wish I knew a way to get a 1:6th scale eyepatch! :lol

Sideshow's Xander has a 1:6 eye patch. I'll probably go with your suggestions if nothing else comes up. Thanks!

Those would work if he was 1:6, but he is only about 7" tall. I'm starting to think sculpting one will be what I have to do. What would be the best material to make the patch out of? The string?
