TDKR Project - BANE - THE FIRE RISES

Working on my custom movie BANE, always like to build my figures better than to buy all made product.

Here's some pics of the work in progress vest completely made from scratch.

The armor parts on the vest are made with foam cover in leather.

In the DK making of book I read that hemmings actually did this in the movie.

Belt buckle and lots of things still to be done.






Modded a military pants, added kneepads and front pockets and weathered it.
Some progress on the double belt but still need to make the accurate belt buckles and add the leather patch at the back.

But it's getting there.

That looks amazing already!

Are the tattoos there on purpose or you're gonna get rid of them?

Gonna get rid of them of course, gonna add texture to the shoulder, enlarge the nec and made the scaring on the back.

F* I hate these threads...the annoying thing about this thread is that we can only look in envy at the awesomeness that is Elvis' work (haha joking about the annoying part of course.)

This looks 10x better than HT's version already even though its a WIP. Great work, can't wait to see the final.

Not sure if it's because of the angles of the photos or whatever, but the arm proportion just looks so much better than HT's one so far.



Not sure but the middle padding seems like it could protrude a bit more?

I see what you mean about the vest, I still need to make some adjustment, still work in progress.
I think the problem is not the padding I will have to make his belly a bit fater to get that look.

oh man, as if things weren't bad enough for HT's Bane, no Seb will destroy it with his brilliance! Can't wait to see more...

Heh maybe you could keep the tattoos on for that authentic Tom Hardy look

I LOVE those BOOTS!!! Is there a recipe for how you made them? Or rather, what parts you used to make them? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Those are new line parajumper boots.

I texturized them and painted them.
THe straps are made out of leather piece I had in my parts bin.
