How many have seen a great buy-it-now piece on eBay, only to ask a question and before it is answered, have it snatched right from underneath ya. Chalk me up once again.............this was a SS Weta Frodo statue for $125.00 with $20 shipping and $5 insurance. $150 shipped!!!!!!!!!

The statue supposidly was in mint, but the base was beat up pretty bad. But that could been made up to be presentable. I do not have a Paypal account and was trying to find out if I could pay a different way. No answer, but only cause it was taken by someone quicker than me. Shame on me......................

The price would have been great, looking at the pictures (http://cgi.ebay.com/Frodo-Statue-Lord-of-the-Rings-from-Sideshow-Weta_W0QQitemZ250016575034) the damage wasn't really that bad, since it wasn't on the statue... :o

We will likely see this statue up for sale again anytime soon, looking at the buyers history of selling Sideshow Exclusives. :o

Heh, I say, it's better to be safe then sorry. Better to ask one question to much, that one to little.

indeed, especially you are asking about payment. if you had jumped the gun and the deal ended up calling off because the seller does not agree with your payment methods, then you could risk a backlash from seller.

as compared to say if you were just wanting to find out the shipping costs and someone won the auction before you got the answer. in that case maybe you could take a little risk if the seller did not mention shipping costs. afterall shipping methods can be negociated etc...

not to worry! if you are patient, just wait for the next good deal to come along. :)
