Need some help here. The gold paint on my Mark VI Iron Man, around the armpit area where the arm meets the chest, got scratched and you can see some of the underlying red where these scratches are.

I'm pretty sure these aren't the chips dotted about on the armour, they're the result of rough handling.

It may have been my own carelessness when handling it, or someone else. I left it sitting on my desk and my dad picked it up and moved the limbs about. He's really rough with anything he gets his hands on and probably didn't realise he was handling a pricey collectible. That's the last time I leave any of my figures on my desk, they stay on the shelf!

Anyhow, does anyone know a matching paint I could use to touch up the scratches? I paint wargames miniatures and model kits, so I'm pretty good with a small brush, just need advice on a good gold paint.

I guess trial and error is your best bet at this point.
Try Testors and Tamiya paint. Mix the paint to match the color too.

And I guess next time keep your pricey stuff away from rough handlers.
