I really think this is going to be split down the middle.
If the paint apps turn out great on the Reg edition then I will be a very happy Star Wars fan and will prefer the reg over the EX!

I didn't order either but if I had the money I would want the regular. Dirty is more Star Wars to me than clean.

I don't collect the droids, but if I did, the only one I'd be interested in would be the regular with the Tatooine weathering. That simply screams OT.

The droids spend most of ANH looking dirty and used, so the weathered look is the more iconic look in my mind and brings back more memories than the clean, polished version.
Yup regular all the way. The initial shock of the EX sellout has passed. I might have made a rash decision but looking at the pros and cons, the regular is far superior in my mind...I prefer the weathering and the joint tatooine base.
