hi i am working on a 1/6th project at the moment and am having trouble finding the right paints and colors to get the awesome blood color i need.

so the question is does anyone have any suggestions on brands and colors of paint and techniques for blood and creating wounds?

When I've done blood in the past , I've used a clear red lacquer based paint . Another option is clear glass paint .

I use Folk Art shiny plaid acrylic paint. its thick and will give you different blood like texture depending on the amount of paint you use in term of layers. and it dries off with a lasting wet look to it.
Again you can just add some black to give it the perfect look you have in mind.

And best part , you can find this paint at walmart and its very much so scratch resistant without a primer or a layer of clear finish
