Thanks to rebelscum for the picture.

I gotta say I don't like 'em. Sideshows will kick its arse by a $100 and a better paint job, I'm sure.

Terrible likeness. Ok, messing up Luke is one thing. But an alien as iconic as Yoda?? What is Medicom thinking? What kind of artists are they commissioning? Well Sideshow, here is what not to do.

I'm not a Medicom defender - but that is hardly a pic to base an opinion on. He's looking up and has that "there is one other" expression on his face from Empire. Seems to be a decent start.

And is that a Medicom clonetrooper? How are they still able to make SW figures?

It's not the best pic but it looks terrible. No way does that look like being worth the usual ludicrous Medicom price tag.

You're absolutely right, Dave. You can't make a judgment on a 1/6 Yoda based on that picture because...

...it's NOT a 1/6 RAH Yoda. :)

Jedidefender.com posted the same picture but had the following text accompanying it:

And finally, we see an image of Yoda as a Vinyl Collectible Doll (VCD); unlike the previous Star Wars VCDs, Yoda won't be in a 'deformed' style, but instead as a more realistic interpretation.

Here's the link if you want to read it for yourself.

I thought he was constipated - guess we know who Luke learnt that look from ;)

They have the translation in brackets and it says VCD after Yoda, so its not one of the RAH figures, but the Clonet Rooper is. I tell ya, those Clonet Rooper's are the most underrated part of the movies.

I think this is one of those you will need so see more pics of (although I first thought he was made of play-doh).

What I am really trying to figure out is what a Clonet Rooper is... ;)

Good question, as they seem to be releasing four new 12" Star Wars figures in the future which will include Boba Fett, Clone Trooper, Shadow Trooper, and Yoda.

Vinyl doll or no, Yoda's not looking so hot. But I reserve judgement until better pics surface.

The Shadow Trooper has me drooling. That's one of the few Troopers I doubt Sideshow will make so I'm contemplating buying the Medicom one.
I also really like the Clone Trooper but I know Sideshow will get around to him so I'll skip it. I'll have to see more of Yoda to judge it better but it's not looking to good so far and I doubt I'd buy one if it looked any better. I just hope Sideshow's Yodas will have articulation.
Look here for a pic of the Shadow Trooper:

Or you could just order an extra Sideshow Stormtrooper when they're released, spray paint it semi-gloss/gloss black, and voila -- Shadowtrooper. Personally I'd rather do that then smack down $150-200 for a Medicom Shadowtrooper.

Plus it would then be identical height. My understanding is Medicom figures are slighly different heightwise to Sideshow figures.
