Hey guys, was wondering if you would have any ideas on how to make a custom 1:6 lupe, like the ones Inspectors use.... here is a pic...

I was thinking that maybe for the base I coud use the handle of a black brush. I think the hardest part is doing the magnifiying glass thing and the metal ring that holds it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You can use metal wire for the round metal part. personally l would "punch" it out of thin sheet plastic with this tool (l don't know the english name for it, but they come in all sizes, also like 0.5 millimeter:

For the glass, that's easy: thin clear plastic sheet, available at good hobby stores, or what about clear thin but sturdy plastic you have on certain products you buy everywhere everyday?

Good luck!

Is this something you could sculpt? If so cast in clear plastic and then prime/paint it. Just a thought. Sounds like a fun challenge.

THanks for your ideas. I cant cast anything don't have the tools.

But I'll see what i come up with tomorrow :)
