Hey all, just letting you know that we changed servers last night. Hopefully we'll be faster, stronger and more stable. But I noticed some posts got lost in the transfer. We aren't censoring you arbitrarily - the server did it.
ahhhh....that's why i couldn't log in last night. :monkey1 thanks Dave. This forum is getting BIgger we are.

I wondered about that. I saw some of my posts removed, but couldn't figure out why. I didn't think I was that annoying!

I tried to get on all morning long and it kept telling me that the server was dead... I never realised fully what this place meant to me until I thought I might never have it again....

At least we only had five new product previews hit us this morning, with no place to talk about it!

Work was VERY long lat night without the board to keep me awake....I was a little worried that they may have blocked the board at work...Glad to hear it was only going to a new server...

What's going on? Threads and posts are disappearing all over the place? And then reappearing.
I keep getting sent back in time to yesterday on the SDCC SW 12" thread, its got like 260+ posts and sometimes I get thrown back to 190 (yesterday) and have to clear out my cookies and dump my history and then get back thru Googling Sideshow Collectors to get back to today's posts.
What's up? I don't want to go thru this tomorrow when i'm trying to order and I end up in yesterday!
Is anyone having this trouble? Can anyone recommend what i can do?

Stay away from mushrooms! :rotfl
Sorry, couldn't resist! Have you tried completely clearing all temporary browser files? I don't seem to being having this issue, but then again, I haven't visited a big thread today...

Yeah, I did that. Thanks. I'm going to refrain from making any bookmarks to specific threads for awhile.
I PM'd Dave and apparently this is all part of the great server "migration". Should be cleared up in 48 hours he says. Thanks Dave!

You know, Tom, I often think of what you're going to post as I form silly phrases. :lol

so that's why the site was down. not being critical here but just wondering why couldn't an announcement be made before hand to inform members about it?
i thought the site was being attacked by hackers. :monkey2

The transfer wasn't planned, something my hosting company decided to do. If you had something other than "www.sideshowcollectors.com" bookmarked, then you may have posted to the the board on the old server. That server is now shut down so all you have to do is enter www.sideshowcollectors.com in your browser and you should be okay.
Sorry for the inconveniences, believe me I wouldn't have made this change at such a critical time by my own choice.
