SS General Grievous Exclusive at dealers

I got a newlsetter from Toypalace. I was a bit surprised about this part:

"Sideshow surprises us
with one of their exclusives: Now you have the opportunity to get hold of the most sought after
Exclusive from their scaled premium figures range: General Grievous with cape !"

Ofcourse I know dealers can buy an exclusive version as well as the next guy and then just resell it in their store. But I don't think that's what's happening here. I have some connections (ehum :monkey3 ) in the world of dealers/wholesale and I know that dealers over here were/are able to order Grievous Exclusive versions right now.

Now I don't have this piece on order or whatever and I really don't care for it. But I was just wondering about it , that's all. I thought it kind of "weird"... It makes me wonder a bit about some things.

Not that surprising really. They have obviously had a bunch of cancellations on this one because they are still soliciting a second chance offer for it. I imagine after going for so long with the waitlist filled and no more second chance requests they decided to open it up to dealers in order to sell the rest of their stock.

I haven't noticed it yet through stateside dealers so it may just be an international thing too. Some of their exclusives have been handled that way in the past as well, but they were always listed as US SS exclusives and available through distributors internationally.

Very fortunate for folks looking for this statue and live outside the U.S.

I guess I wasn't alone when I passed on Grievous. That many cancellations for it? damn!

given the fact of 1500 exclusives and 2500 regular, it was obvious that to find a such expensive statue will not be difficult. I also cancelled it due to custom problems we had at that time in Turkey.

Now the waters are stilled and if I will have my Hulk statue without any problem, and If I can not win an x-wing :rolleyes: , i will be ordering Grievous from Toy palace as I have 16% VAT and plus another 10% discount from them, needless to say, germany is very close to Turkey and so the shipping prices
