This is a good question. Why haven't any tackled a Sandcrawler? I think efx should do one while they are doing vehicles.

That Star Destroyer model on that page is awesome! I think that's probably my favorite vehicle design from the SW universe.

I know, they have done them all, but not this? MAster Replica did a awesome job on the Falcon why didnt they do a Crawler?

Her's a review of the Hasbro OTC Sandcrawler made in 2004. It looks a little small, unless you used their micro machines battle packs figures which were 1"1/4 inch tall, but the detail looks good and it would be easier to display.

Here's a link to a thread where a guy talks about his 3.75" scale custom sandcrawler thats 2.5 feet tall by 5 feet long! :thud::yess:

Because not enough people would be willing to pay $1000 (or some other large number) to buy one to make it worthwhile for a company such as efx.

I think back in MR's heyday they probably could've made one successfully, but it's true that the market is a bit smaller now. I think it's a very iconic vehicle, though, and one that I would theoretically be interested in if some company did make one.

What about Jaba's sail barge? :wave

I decided to search for a thread on any high end models to do with this beautifully classic & iconic SW vehicle.. & this is the only thread? I'm dumbfounded..

Really disappointing that nothing by MR etc has been made yet.

As someone earlier wrote, a high end scaled Sandcrawler probably isn't on the cards in the foreseeable future.

It's a damn shame. :(

It's a bit like the sail barge in that the biggest and best model might actually be the LEGO version. I personally love the sand crawler and would be much more likely to buy a replica of it than another X-wing or Tie Fighter, but I guess companies have been playing it safe and only choosing surefire sellers.

Hopefully Hasbro does one in the vein of the big Falcon, AT-AT & Slave 1.

It'll hardly be scaled or high end.. but it'll still likely be a fantastic collectible / toy. :)
