View Full Version : My Figrin D'an review

I remember back when the Hasbro Cantina Band members came out as a Walmart exclusive. I spent way too much time hunting those damn things down, and now Sideshow has made that a moot point with the release of the first of their much improved versions - Figrin D'an! I'm checking him out tonight at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

Definatley do the Trooper and Dewback! I had to cancel both due to the recent SS flood, but definatley want to check them about before I get a chance to reorder them later!

As a side note on the virus thing, I have McAfee VirusScan Enterprise here at work with all the bells and whistles that cause me no end of trouble - AntiSpyware, Anti-Malware, HIP, etc etc, and I have no problems getting to Michael's site from here. Usually, if I can get to it anyone can. What software are you using? I wouldn't be surprised if you have a virus/spyware on your machine that is screwing with you.

Thanks, but my software is supplied by the bank my missus works for so I kinda trust it :gah: :panic:

The above images are the advertisement photos in Sideshow homepage.

But the real thing we would get after placing order is as follows.

Did you see it?

It's too terrible.

That is intended results?

This is a photo of Asajj Ventress Life-Size Bust.

The surface texture of Asajj's head and Figrin D'an's head are same in Star Wars?

These rough and poor surface texture is just the limit of Sideshow quality control and a poor completeness.

The gap between the actual goods and the sample in Sideshow homepage is very wide.

It is intended? nonsense. Figrin D'an is dying from skin cancer.

ok asajj skin is surely not that rough and full of scars ... so I agree on that with you.. but about D'ans not sure if thats intended or not anymore :(

The rough surface is done in order to add an organic feel to it. Rather than a completely flat and artificial surface. This way, the way that light reflects or is absorbed by the surface would seem more realistic and natural.

From what I can see here, I am honestly not seeing anything that would alarm me. But the suggested issues are also very much "in your face" on these pictures. Would be nice with some more general shots of the piece, in order to get a sense of the totality of this piece.

those black spots are flaws. This was a well documented issue when this bust was first released. It IS NOT supposed to be like that.
