If there's going to be an Indy announcement I'll wager it will come next year. We already know Lucas is shopping the licence around. With the movie not due out till '08, SS could spend next year doing Indy's from the existing films in preparation.

You guys are worrying for nothing. Someone will pick up the license in 2007 or 2008, as soon as George approves the script (STOP TAKING SO LONG.. Harrisons just getting older :D ) and they start filming. I think the hesistation is that Indy 4 might not get made, so the license would be worth less. Doesn't make sense to me, but you know how the bean counters are.

I'm sure forces are at work right now on all sorts of Indiana stuff -- offers are being made, deals are being struck, negotiations are in progress. Certainly Sideshow has already spoken to its Lucasfilm contact a long time ago about "the plan". Its probably all in the hands of lawyers right now, figuring out who gets what and when. But no doubt we'll get lots of toys months BEFORE Indy IV ever reaches the theaters. It will all be part of the hype machine.

Certainly these are good head sculpts, but like Viggo, Harrison is difficult to capture. I think the CMQ, SSC 12" Han and the PF are better representations of the character.

Seeing the Bespin Han just makes me realize SS could knock this one out of the park. This license is a no-brainer for them.

I'd preorder any exclusive they wanted to do with this one. Idol, medallion, torn shirt from Temple of Doom, glasses, snake, what have you.

You can probably see better pics on their site, but I thought I'd share my thoughts on it. Comes in a no name box, and is as big as it needs to be to fit the figure. No ties, just slip it out and you're done. His hat is a waste of space, time and effort. It lacks any stiffness to hold a shape and looks ridiculous. Maybe I am used to Sideshow figures, but his head looks on the small side. The sculpt is nicely painted. The jacket is a lined leather, the zipper not in scale. Leather whip, holster, machete scabbard, sack strap, utility belt, and boots, with laces. His accessories do the job and are metal, as are his belt buckles.

For the money I reckon it is excellent value, and I was impressed. Comparing it to a Sovereign Studios or even Murderofcrows71's version, up above, you'll see it still lacks refinement. If your after an Indy, and you don't care to spend the time collecting parts, and pieces to make your own. This one's a good start in my book. As always, when do we get Sideshows version?

Cool creecher...I've been looking at getting the 'Relic Hunter' Indy style figure for a while now...mainly for the pants, shirt, belts and boots to add to my custom. Although I've always found the 'Relic Hunter' jacket a bit 'glossy' and slightly oversized (or maybe as you mention, it's just that small head that makes it appear that way!)...plus that HUGE zipper you mention is a bit of a sore thumb for me. Nothing a little customization couldn't fix!

Now I've also decided it's time for me to post some photos of my current custom Indy. Assembled on a Dragon body over a few years from items available online (and through some Evil-Bay auctions)...It's not a bad little Indy. It at least tides me over while I wait for the Arnie Kim version and (hopefully) the eventual Sideshow version...:tap

I reckon your boots look way better too. I have a spare BBi body I'll use, when I get round to it. His plastic bendy fingers work well enough, but they just don't look real, like Sideshows do.

The Arnie Kim Indy will be the final nail in the coffin for any collector, or customiser. Enterbays work with the GoD Bruce really is exceptional. I don't see them dropping the bundle on any of their projects.

Thanks creecher! I'm really happy with the hat, weathered jacket, holster, belt, whip and shoulder bag I have for my Indy...as well as the Lonnie "Hero Heads" Harrison Ford Indy head-sculpt. I've just never been satisfied with the generic tan 'army' shirt or the pants/army belt I have on my Indy. I've been debating getting the 'Relic Hunter' figure just to touch-up my custom with better pants/shirt.

Of course, now that Arnie Kim's ENTERBAY ROTLA version is pending licence approval, and there's still a GREAT chance SS will make a 1/6 and 1/4 Indy, I may want to just save the cash and put it aside for those! :D

So I got to have a good close-up look at the Premium Format John Wayne figure the other day at a local shop and it got me thinking about how great and detailed a PF Indy would look. The accuracy and detail on the outfit, holster, gun and hat is remarkable! Man I can't wait for an ROTLA Indy PF!

Oh, and as a side note, I'm loving the 1/6 LOTR line. The detail on the costumes and gear, right down to the fake leather straps and buckles is exquisite! Let's hope when SS picks up the Jones license, they follow the detail of the LOTR line! :D

Hey, I'm in too! Please produce a 1/6 scale Indiana Jones line. I'd love for Sideshow to produce Indy, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, Marcus Brody, Willie Scott, Short Round, Mola Ram and finally...Dr. Henry Jones, Sr. If we can at least get one 1/6 scale Indy...and a 1/4 Premium Format Indy would be on the top of my collecting list too. I'd put them next to my 12 inch custom Indy I made that I have right now! Bring 'em on Sideshow....PLEASE!

I agree that Hot Toys would do an incredible job with a 1/6 scale line of Indiana Jones figures if Sideshow doesn't get the license to do them! I'm loving their "Movie Masterpiece" line right now! I've got most of the Rambo, and ALIENS marines, and hope to get all of the upcoming Rocky movie figures too. Medicom would be great too for Indy, but I'd honestly prefer Sideshow or Hot Toys.

Yeah, I'm hoping we'll hear something from the San Diego Comic Con about the Indy license. I agree that Hasbro will likely get the small 3 3/4" license, since they got it in the past for Raiders (back when Hasbro was called Kenner!). I am hoping that either Sideshow or Hot Toys get the 1/6 scale and 1/4 scale license. I guess we'll know soon enough... :confused: :D

One thing, though... when SSC makes an Indy PF figure I for one will demand perfection. Absolutely no room for error or excuses. And if they pull it off it might very well be the ultimate collectible.

God I hope so! I imagine more than 1 PF...wouldn't be surprised if they eventually do a few (Raiders with the 'trust me' smirk, TOD minus jacket, w/ripped sleeve and machete from bridge scene, etc.)

Just hope the poses are SUPER iconic. I really like the Cinemaquette, but I find the pose a little 'too' animated with the whip and stance...plus he looks too angry or determined or something...not quite sure what it is that's throwing it off for me...

Beamed "from the set" were Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford (in the Indiana Jones costume), Shia LaBoeuf (in a beard), and, for the first time, Ms. Marion Ravenwood herself, Karen Allen. From all accounts, Karen looked surprisingly young and vivacious.

Spielberg promised that the film, which will be released in May, 2008, will be "just for the fans." For his part, Dr. Jones himself said that it was great to be back in the "dirty, sweaty clothes" of his most popular character.

It sounds GREAT to me! Now, if only Sean Connery would come back as Indy's Dad in a "tiny" cameo....that would be the icing on the cake for me. Yeah, I know he's not since he's already said "I'm having too much fun" in retirement. But to have Karen Allen back as Marion Ravenwood is HUGE good news for me! :D
