Pre-orderd the Connery - I've already got a Tux Connery - but the more the merrier!
I'll get the Brosnan Bond as well - I've noticed the suits that sideshow produce now are far superior to the old ones (compare the suit on Skinner vs the suit on say Mulder - or the Tux on Brosnan vs the Tux on Connery).
I'm pretty much up for any new Bond, Buffy, X-Files or Highlander figures Sideshow cares to produce.

Yeah, the suit customizing is getting more sophisticated, gotta stay up to scale with the market, the Connery tux and shirt look very nicely tailored as Wor-Gar stated and this is a good opportunity for SSC to do these clothes right.

Where are you guys seeing pics of Brosnan?
Check this week's newsletter in the Bond section. It's right under the Connery "For Sale" announcement.
Brosnan looks OK. Hopefully, the final product won't have a Vaseline-caked shiny face.
I think I'll pass on it though in favor of the older GoldenEye version. Cheaper, still a great looking head sculpt, and my favorite Bond outfit (don't know why...just is...).
Pics of it in different poses and reviews are hard to come by for it though. Can anyone post some comments and pics of it?? I'd really appreciate it!! :)

I don't have room on my shelves for the Bond figures, but I did order this:

(Although I can't remember the last time I actually had enough time to actually play an entire game of Monopoly all the way through to the end.)

I wish sideshow had done this figure and called it DAF, so I could keep my display as is with the Bond in front with the box's movie poster cover behind him. Of course it would have required a new sculpt...exclusive? Removable hair piece of course.

For the record every Bond film is an inceredible piece of filmaking unsurpassed by any other feeble movie efforts. Some are just more incredible than others. :D
I sincerely hope that SS is using the Legacy collection to test the waters for further "regular" releases.
After preordering Roger Moore today I noticed that the pictures have two guns not mentioned in the description:
The Legacy Collection Roger Moore as James Bond Figure includes:
Authentic Roger Moore portrait
Fully articulated body with 30+ points of articulation
Expertly tailored fabric costume
Accessories include:
Poker Chip w/ Roger Moore print
Martini Glass
Walther PPK
Vodka Bottle
Interchangeable hands
Watch
12" figure display stand featuring the 007 logo printHmm nothing about the .44 or the Golden gun and the Walther PPK that is mentioned is not shown in the pictures. I am soooo confused

Well, we're getting Dalton soon. It looks decent from the preview, but nothing special. I'm starting to get a bit down on this kitbash series. I'm on the cusp of canceling my orders. It just might be pre-buyer-remorse striking. We shall see.

I like all the others, they're all more or less new outfits and outfits that will be nice to have Bond in. However Dalton did seem a bit disappointing, it looked like he was wearing a tux sans tie. But that's one difficult thing about him IMO because he only had two movies it doesn't seem like he had as many outfits as the other fellas. I guess it doesn't fit in with the whole Legacy ideal, but I think it mighta been better if Dalton were wearing a field outfit. I'm sure I'll wind up getting him though...the completist in me demands it.

BTW Did his face look really shiny to anyone?
No less than Brosnan's face in his preview. :)
As for the kit-bashing that is the Legacy Collection, I think SSC is capitalizing on the renewed interest in Bond due to Daniel Craig and Casino Royale. Look at when they're being released: 4th quarter (same time as the movie).
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we get Lazenby very soon and then everything goes quiet until the movie hits. Then, the first figures will ship out, and we'll get our last pre-order: Daniel Craig.
Even if I'm way off mark with that, this is still a great way for new Sideshow customers who missed out on most of the earlier Bond figures to have a full set of the different actors.

I agree, except I think it is possible that Craig will be announced prior to the movie. But I guess anything is possible, isn't it? The biggest question I have is will they put Craig in the legacy series or will they do a Casino Royale Craig? Personally I hope it is the latter, and really I don't see how he could be in Legacy given it is his first movie and it might be hard to label one outfit as iconic, but then a straight black tux is rather THE iconic suit for James Bond regardless of the actor I suppose.

Definitely agree this is a great assortment for newbies, it's just a bit hard on us folks that have every Bond release to date. I want to fill out my collection with the characters that have been missed, which there have been a great many.
It's amazing, because I was very excited when Connery was announced but that has dried up a great deal. Extra odd because I'm chomping at the bit for Casino Royale. When the Daniel Craig finally gets announced my excitement will return. Have to admit, I'm also anxious to see the George Lazenby entry.
I'm just hoping we'll see more new characters once the last two in the Legacy are announced.
I have to say, after the disappoiting Moore and Dalton Legacy figures, I'm slightly less excited about Lazenby.
Sideshow had great opportunities to do interesting things with this line, but those last two have shown that this line is getting minimum effort.

Actually, I think that the kilt that came with the Bayonettes and Barbwire Black Watch figure is closer to Lazenby's kilt than the Highlander ones. I have it on a Lazenby figure, which is wearing nothing else...so SS, you'd better git us a Lazenby in the whole kilt outfit!!!

Umm... I love Sideshow and all... BUT... this figure is bordering on Pamela Vorhees bad.. and that's saying something. I mean, the disregard everyone's wishes for the leather jacket version. Then they FUBAR the actual suit design (which they will probably get around by saying, "its a compilation of different outfits for the legacy collection"). And, I can't quit put my finger on it.. but that head looks wrong. I think I have figured out what is throwing this off for me - is he wearing a white tie (yeah sounds silly, but it looks like some kind of tie on the shirt), or no tie at all? If they added the tie from the pic, I could live without the flower. But the lack fo the tie is just lazy.

I like using the wedding outfit, I think its a really nice choice. I don't mind the pants being the wrong color, because without the picture pointing out the difference I wouldn't have noticed, but the tie I hit on right away and it sucks that it is absent. I really really hope they put one on him it just looks weird without it.
The other thing I wish they would have done is the top hat...didn't he have a top hat? I know they can't make one that would fit on his head due to the sculpted hair, and I wouldn't have him wear it anyways so it doesn't matter...but I really wish he had one to hold. Maybe I can paint honest abe's...
BTW what's up with the interchangeable hands again?

Sorry about the crappy MS Paint job (I don't have a good photoshop program), but here is a rough idea of how this figure SHOULD look like:

NOTE: The vest should be a more blue color, not gray.

Better. I sort of like this figure, but without the tie...???
The sculpt seems off to me also. He looks a lot like the bad guy from "The Untouchables" -- Billy Drago.

I'm pretty sure the sculpt is the same as the other LTK sculpt, which is good IMO.

Maybe you're right. Anyway, for me, this line will all depend on getting that Lazenby in a kilt. Don't ask me why.

Whether I purchase this figure comes down to the tie... add one, and I can live without the striped pants and wrong colors. Without it, this figure takes forever to sell (and I bet they use it as an excuse to say, no one wants a Dalton Bond). In all honesty, as the figure is pictured, I would rather hunt down a tux version. As photoshopped... well, I would buy that figure (tailored, not photoshopped of course LOL).

That looks awful. Hate that outfit. I'd be better off buying the older version. First one of the reissues I'm passing on.

I think it's a cool outfit even with the "inaccuracies" and if the head is too shiny for you every decent sized store om the planet sells dullcoat paint.
I just thank god that I have more figures in my favorite line.

I don't think the heads will turn out shiny, I bet Sideshow is just using the old figures for their pics. They seem to have moved beyond the shiny face syndrome lately.

My order is placed. I only hope that the Legacy collection will include villians. There are still so many figures to make.
Goldfinger
Grant
Largo
Klemp
Drax
Blofeld variations etc...
And also let's not forget the Bond girls, "M", Moneypenny, J.W. Pepper, Felix Leiter variations, The list is endless!

I'd like to be able to say the same thing, but I know that the completist is me will never allow it. These Legacy Bonds will be all or none for me and the odd of me getting none are, well between slim and none...

Why would Sideshow make an excuse about a figure not selling, they've not made excuses about any other Bond figures.

This is one variation I have no problem passing on. It makes me happy I got the Dalton in a tux figure.:chew :chew :chew
