Sixth Scale 12-inch Figures. One Fourth Scale Premium Format Figures. Life-Size Collectibles.

And now… Legendary Scale Busts

The Legendary Scale format was born out of a desire at Sideshow Collectibles to create a line of mid-sized busts that still capture all the fine sculpture and painting detail seen in larger format busts, while at the same time offering collectors a more conveniently sized alternative to the often gargantuan life-sized busts Sideshow produces.

Sideshow has designed the Legendary Scale bust line to encompass a wide variety of characters, from an assortment of properties, while maintaining complementary sizing within each property.

For characters who are similarly sized, Legendary Scale busts will be roughly the same mass and volume as one another, while large characters will be bigger than smaller characters.

With the new Legendary Scale format, there is no restriction to a strict scale such as 1:2 or 1:3, so that the most optimum scale and design can be utilized for each character.

Some pieces in this format may have a more traditional bust cut composition, while others may be more ambitious in their presentation, which may involve larger sections of the body including arms and props, etc.

Each Legendary Scale bust will utilize the best materials available to capture the character, including polystone, fibgerglass, metal, polyurethane, plastic, and sometimes even electronic features.

Later today we will unveil the first two Legendary Scale busts, from two different properties. You can look forward to the announcement of another property at the San Diego Comic-Con, and more property announcements to will follow at a later date!
