any good tips or techniques for painting sculpted hair? what are good brand colors to use for brown, black ect. any help would be aprieciated.:)

I am not an experte, I am really learning about ir, but what I am using now, well it depends on who you are paintg. But if it is a dark hair, use washes of a clear color (clear brown) as a base hair, and then add washes of the dark hair (mix between black and brown).. it gives you a nice natural style.
 
A good book that will help is 'pop sculpture'. They go through the entire process of making an action figure. The cartoon color company sells 'cell vinyl' paint that goes on really well. Referenced in the book. If the model is sanded down and perfectly smooth that paint goes on really well. The black covered the best.
