Giger Alien 1/3 maquette

Did anyone else order the Giger Alien Cinemaquette? I have the Sideshow exclusive Predator maquette so I thought this would be a good companion piece.

The CM Alien definitely looks awesome!! I'll probably pass, but there are some here who are ordering. There's more discussion on it in this thread: CM Alien (http://sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10076)

wow!!! i wish i could win the lotto so i could buy everything that you guys post in these forums. everytime i see a new thread with pictures i start crying because i either know im about to spend lots of money or i see something i cant have.:monkey2 :monkey2

~~i still remember the first time i saw aliens when i was a kid. for weeks i would check the closet, under the bed, and pretty much every place that an alien could jump out from. i actually didnt see the first Alien until i was 15 around the time Alien 3 came out in the movie theater.

I ordered it.

The CM Alien 1/3 scale and the SS Predator is 1/4 scale. If you care about scale when displaying stuff together, these won't look right side by side. The Predator is around 24" while the Alien is around 31". I passed on the SS Predator, I'm waiting for the CM version. God knows we'll have plenty of time to save the money for it. :lol

I went the other way, I am just waiting for SS to do a 1/4 Alien. And T850 and TX BTW!!!

I'm not getting it, I just don't like the piece, it's too 'clean' for my taste, an Alien should be slimy. Also, it won't be to scale with SS Predator (the Alien will tower over it) and I have high hopes SS will do their own maquette from AlienS....
