Because I think Oddjob will look much better if he was a little shorter, I ordered a Hunchback to switch the body.
But now, I am a little afraid that I will regret ruining the classic horror figure.
I wonder why the Hunchback is not so popular.

Yes I know, but the figure does not look so bad on photographs.
If I really want to put it on the shelve, I order a Jedi Luke (that way I have the small body and a non gripping left hand - Star Wars is just not my favourit - But who am I...)

The figure is nice, it's just the character itself isn't.

As far as the Hunchback's poularity is concerned, although the Chaney film is wonderfully done (a spectacle for it's time) his character doesn't come off as sympathetic this version of the story. I also think the Chaney film and image of Quasimodo isn't shown as much as The Phantom of the Opera.
For a better version of the Hunchback you would be hard pressed to beat the wonderful Charles Laughton / Maureen O'hara version that RKO did. Laughton's make-up is fantastic and his portrayal is heartbreaking.
I've seriously considered trying to revamp a 12" Huncback with some kind of Laughton head - they wear very similar costumes.

I haven't gotten this one yet, as I haven't been too enamored with it in photos. I do collect silent film characters though, and am curious, but your comments make me wonder....
