Tamiya color. Clear red acrylic works awesome. Also red with a few drops of black works great

Fresh blood = red and shiny, dried old blood is dark red + brown and matte. And variaties in between are possible, matte, semi-gloss, and gloss. Just experiment a little bit with it, it's fun.
burgundy mixed with black. then mix both with some testors gloss clear coat, then apply....

Definitely echo the others...Tamiya Clear Red mixed with any type of gloss coat works great!
The pic below was done with heated streched sprues and Tamiya Clear Red and a few other reds to darken it a bit.

That would look good at the base of my werewolf!
My favorite is called burnt orange by Golden, it has a high gloss Finnish and it looks great it you layer it! https://www.goldenpaints.com//products/color/infopg.php?K=0002280

I've used red lacquer glass paint , which is pretty effective .
