:pray::pray::pray: for a BATMANUEL LSF

thread is a little premature. They haven't even released one of the 4 from SDCC yet. We prolly won't even see this up on PO for 2years. You can see a 1:1 Batman bust being sculpted in the video, we prolly see that before this.

Edit: ok, I can see the point of the thread with the poll

Chose 3. Batpits for the win! :lol

i like 1 just slightly more than 3 but would be happy with either of those 2

For most scaled statues I would choose 3, but for a legendary scale statue (roughly 1/2 scale), I would want the more boring #1 look. 2 would be a horrible failure IMO, and 4 looks like that weird DC Direct "Museum Quality" statue, even with the stalagmites.

xYx
09-29-2011, 02:45 PM
Oh I didn't see the "LSF" part... :slap

For LSF I'd pick the 1st one, just looks classy.
For the PF I pick the 3rd, with the Batsignal light-up features! :yess:

I pick 1. Though 3 would be nice, It will be huge. Space will be an issue.

I agree, #1 would go best with the other LSF's. 3 would take up a ridiculous amount of room unless you plan on only having 1 giant piece in your collection.

#2 and #4 look a little awkward. They may look good if tweaked a little.

3 would be epic. The rest are forgettable.

I voted for the third pose, but none of them really jump out as being great and different from stuff that's already out there.

Yeah, I think they could come up with a better one. Possibly a tweaked 4.

I can't watch the DC vid (blocked at work). Anything on a Batman PF?

JosephCPR

For a LSB, #1 would be the best option IMO

IrishJedi
09-29-2011, 04:54 PM
They could actually use most of these concepts for different formats:

1 for LSF (1/2 scale)

2 for PF (1/4 scale)

3 for Polystone Statue (1/5 to 1/7 scale) w/ working light

4... meh

#3 WITH working light would be over the top and i could use a little over the top in my collection.....

Mr. Green
09-29-2011, 06:40 PM
None. 1 looks classic or Ok but I prefer him on a gorgoyle or a nice gothic base. His cape shouldn't be hiding/covering him much...maybe half or to the side. His chest and belt is a must see. Jim Lee's 608 is the best example. I am sure there's similiar others out there too.

If #3 were actually the size of the IM and Obi pieces it'd be fantastic.

Hydeous
09-29-2011, 07:17 PM
I like 1, it would go better with the Joker PF. #3 would be nice as well as a stand alone piece.

Phil Sierra

Number 3 would be great for a 1/4 or 1/5 scale.

and

Number 1 for the 1/2 scale.

batfan08
09-30-2011, 12:46 AM
This is a toughie, with something like #1, we'd probably get a genuine 1:2 scale piece, but with #3, it'd probably be more akin to the Wolf Predator. I love the pose of #3, so I voted for it, but if it meant having a 1:2 scale Batman, #1 all the way.

the Doctor

is the lsf comic or movie bases?

i'd be more interested in a movie lsf

for lsf i voted for the first one.
but i dont mind seeing that made in 1/4.
#3 looks fantastic as a pose but i know that ss wont make it in 1/4 so...

I really like pose 3 for a P.F. , for a L.S.F. I went with pose 1.

Either way, it's a definite purchase for me.

Batman29
10-06-2011, 09:56 PM
Pose 3 is fantastic ... only problem is that on 1/2 scale you would need an 6 foot high wall space to display it and the width about 3 to 4 feet.

Definitely #3 for PF. Not crazy about any of those for 1:2 scale.

I picked #4 because of the sweet action pose. However I would have to display that in a room to itself because it would be huge. #1 is probably what SS will go with vs. the other concept due to the 1/2 scale size. :wave

Crysis
10-16-2011, 05:26 PM
3 will be godly, make it so.

PhilboBaggins
10-16-2011, 05:31 PM
I imagine they will go with #1 which is fine as it was my second pick and realistically #3 maybe a tough one to display unless you have an extra wing on your house for statues.

Mr. Green
10-16-2011, 06:50 PM
#3 Would be so huge, as big as a table, with his wings spread out. And I don't know why he's landing/standing on the bat signal. :dunno

Yeah the bat signal seems a little much. The pose does look great tho', I'll love to have a bats towering over the room like that. Definitely a nice centerpiece display.

Love 1 and 3. Voted for #1 in the end.

JBElliott

They should make all four of them, but I hope they make them in a decent scale, anything less than full size (1:1) is too small.

SSC didn't mention that they will do any polystone statue during this DC Comics line... or am I wrong??

BarryAllen
11-23-2011, 02:14 PM
Damn, if it's LSF then it will be a huge piece and expensive to order for a person who lives outside US, like ME! :( Then I will have to start saving some $$$...

BarryAllen
11-23-2011, 02:15 PM
SSC never mention on their sneak peak video that they will do any Polystone statues right? or am I wrong?

Collector_Neo
12-14-2011, 09:16 PM
#1 would suit for the LSF line. Simple yet classy. And as already said, #3 would go great for a PF or 1/5 statue.

On a side note, its good to know from the video that they'll be tackling 'The Main Man' too!! :yess:

Cheers,
Neo.

The Catwoman looks like will be a 1/5 Adam Hughes Comiquette. I hope it's a 1/4 PF though.

Mr. Green
12-17-2011, 10:20 PM
Not sure how #3 would looks if SSC would decides on it. I mean he's cool with his open cape but he's landing on a bat signal still concern me. His weight + gravity would cause a possible land on your face issues? Hehehee. Be nice if he's trying to land on a flat surface, on a gorgoyle's head instead. Batman 608, second print, still is the best pose as far as I am concerned.

KingB

It would be neat to cast the bat signal on my ceiling! Number 3!

#1 is the safest pose for them to go with. Its clean simple, and will look badass set up in a theatre room. Got my Vote!

#1 but I don't really like the arms crossed. From a defensive point of view it makes no sense and is something a character such as Superman is more likely to do.

07-09-2012, 03:59 PM
While I would love #3, that thing would be incredibly massive....LSF (no comment on Predator one) statues are massive to begin with but adding in the wing span of that that cape and we're talking an entire large display cabinet to hold that monster.

MasterSafara
07-09-2012, 04:03 PM
Oh common! Who cares how much space #3 would take up. The pose is completely unique and it's quite obvious it looks the best.

MasterSafara

occulum
07-11-2012, 11:51 AM
3 looks cool, but I would also be concerned about the space it would take up. If his cape is wider than he is tall it would probably take up a 4ft+ wide space.... :monkey1

Pose #3 will definitely be something different from the PF and a great centerpiece to a DC LSF line. If you're paying $2000, might as well get your money's worth.
