Been to a used toy shop the other day and couldn't believe what damage smoking can do to these figures. There was a Bride whose gown had turned yellow, and a Hyde who's vest was no longer white. It's scary because these figures are only a few years old,but I imagine the smokey environment aged them 50 years or more.I sure hope that whoever has a premie collection keeps them in a smoke free home,it would be such a waste.

amen to that. never buy anything used unless you know its history/pedigree. More importantly than the figures though, imagine what it is doing to the smoker in question's body. Cigarettes are one of the most addictive things on earth, and I feel sorry for anyone stuck battling them.

My buddy once got a Jason pt3 off eBay and when he opened up the box he said his whole room stunk like a dead hooker... I think he was able to get a partial refund from the seller it was so bad. Luckily over time the figure aired out and it wasn't as big a deal, but he was pretty bummed at first.

Put any figures with non cloth accessories in a bag and seal the bag after inserting about a cup of febreeze and a teaspoon of baking powder to removes smells. If figure has removeable cloth clothing, soak in a bowl filled with cold water and a capful of color safe liquid detergent. then rinse with cold water. I bought some older figures that smelled like a mildewy basement once and this did the trick fo anyone who buys a smelly figure in the future.

So now we know about second hand smoke.

But what about first hand smoke? Who's going to tell my collectibles that they have to stop smoking?!?

I've used this method on MEGOs too.
