I saw the other thread, but it didn't really answer my question so I figured it would be best to start a new one:

I am in the beginning stages of creating a custom 1/6th 'realistic' Riddler, however, I am having a very difficult time trying to decide whether to buy a suit, bleach it, then redye it dark green, or have my wife sew one for me (she is a darn good seamstress).

I have heard that many 1/6th premade suits cannot be bleached/redyed, so I thought this would be the place to go for advice.

Anyone know if either of these can be bleached/dyed?

The problem with my wife making one from scratch is that the the only pattern she can find is the Simplicity Doll (Ken) suit pattern and she knows that she does not have the expensive machine-attachments to create the same ultrafine detail that comes on the Hot Toys style suit jackets.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
