    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Yeah it helps that we've actually seen the green place now, and know what a paradise it was and what all she's lost. Before it was kinda hard to imagine a place like that existing in this world.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Well I suppose it would have been a little TOO cruel to have her home be destroyed just because she stupidly drew a map to the place on her arm.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Yeah that guy didn't look remotely trustworthy, so I was surprised he ended up being genuinely on her side. Or at least so it seemed. I suppose they didn't make it very far before he had a chance to betray her...

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Oh he's already spoiled the crap out of the movie for himself, so I don't think that's a concern at this point. 😄

So am I the only one who thought the reason she'd lose the arm was because of that map she drew on it? I expected one of the warlords would eventually find it and cut it off for a raiding party to use to find the Green Place. But nothing ever became of that.

Yeah when I think back on the movie the good stuff more than outweighs the bad, and I find myself really wanting to see these characters on screen and experience the world again... But I also fear I'd walk out of the theater still feeling the same as I did before-- that the movie drags in too...

EXO-6 Star Trek "The Next Generation" Figures

I'm still not feeling the new sculpt myself, at least in the peeks we've gotten of it so far. Hopefully it's either been improved since then or looks a lot better in hand.

I was actually on the lookout for the shot when I saw the movie but don't remember anything especially fake looking. But maybe it just blended in with all the other heavily altered shots and I had just become used to it by that point.

JND Studios: Superman (Christopher Reeve) 1:3

Nah I've honestly kind of written them off at this point. John Wick is another disappointment and their Superman statues have been SO off the mark that it's almost silly. And it just doesn't look like they're working with the best sculptors. Either that or something about the silicone is making...

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Well Charlize was 39 when FR came out, which is 10 years older than Anya is now. But I kinda have a hard time believing that Furiosa waited 10 years before deciding to enact her plan and head back home. But frankly even 5 years seems like too long since she probably had the means to leave only a...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Yeah I get the impression the main reason he wants to make Beyond is just for those cool Away Team outfits. Which is fine by me.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Perhaps, but I think I'd still recommend a newbie watch Fury Road first before Furiosa, as I think FR works better when you go in cold not knowing anything about the character yet or that she will end up being this unexpected, badass hero. And it would also ruin the cool reveal when you find out...

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Well it's not entirely clear when Dementus dies (which you'll understand more after watching the movie), but FR does seem to take place at least a few years after the main events of Furiosa and their final battle.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Well we only see Furiosa in shadow for that scene, at which point it does look quite a bit more like Charlize. But it's still not really clear how much time has passed, and like others say I don't think it was necessary. Because obviously we know what happens to the character next. Although I...

EXO-6 Star Trek "General Discussion" 1/6 Line

Agreed. But the problem is he still needs characters like Bashir to sell well in order to help fund the characters that come after. And I imagine he can only take so many hits from poor releases before the entire project is jeopardized.

EXO-6 Star Trek "Strange New Worlds" Figures

I think the chest looks decently big, but those skinny little arms just ridiculous on him. So I will definitely be looking for a better body.

    Furiosa (May 24, 2024)

Gotta say, even though I found the movie slightly underwhelming, knowing this will probably now be the last George Miller Mad Max film we get to see on screen kinda makes me want to check it out again. Plus I'm curious to see if it works any better for me now that I've adjusted to the different...

Yeah the paint seems to look really good on this. Still not sure about the weird, smug expression they gave him though.

Dukat would be a must for me as well, but I do think Nanjin is right to worry as I'm not sure how many outside the small group of collectors here and on FB would really want to pay $250-300 for one.

Well you should have plenty of room in the theater to stretch out! 😁
