That explains the quality.

I looked at their previous figures, and they looked cheap as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if they were also known as Why Studio.

That is one of the laziest and ugliest figures ever. I almost had hope someone was reviving Buffy and making a fresh line of decent figures. Alas, such things are not meant to be.

If a good Buffy does ever come, beep me.

They couldn’t have picked a better moment to announce this; right alongside InArt’s Ron Weasley.

OSK’s front page now illustrates the polar ends of the quality scale in this hobby.

I mean they were good for their day, but yeah it's crazy that no one else ever produced figures from that show given its enormous popularity.

The old Sideshow Master - which incidentally was the first 1/6 figure I ever bought back when I was just starting High School - looks miles better, how on earth did they somehow take a decades old sculpt and apply worse paint app and tailoring

Pity because I would go insane for a decent quality buffy line

Considering this thread is unlikely to be filled with joyous comments on this figure we may as well use the space to have a fun conversation!

I'd be happy with just one really solid Buffy figure tbh. I'd throw down some money for a Faith too. I always liked the mirror of each other they were, one of the more interesting character dynamics in the series.

A Buffy/Giles would be a cool double as well.

I'm currently on a rewatch of the entire Buffy and Angel series, and every time I do I consider them among the very best series made in terms of writing and acting.

It's a travesty there haven't been figures worthy of the show itself. Could do with a third party company with a genuine interest, the way Mars is with Batman '66 or LIM Toys is with video games. But they'd need to be a lot faster than that pair.

Of all the companies to take the slightest interest, it had to be HMTOYS.

And it would be typical that if news broke that a 1/6 company had the licence, it'd turn out to be Star Ace.

I'm not nearly as passionate about Buffy as I used to be, but I'd still take a good quality Buffy, Spike, and Angel.

Now if someone were to produce a line of high-quality Firefly figures, that would be a different story...

It would almost be easier for me to list the characters I wouldn’t buy- since I’d want as much Buffy goodness as possible.

The real question is which outfit/season would be the definitive choice for each member of the scooby gang…

Sideshow did a pretty good job with their selections.

Spike is the easiest.

That’s just has signature look, and I prefer it over all black.

Buffy has so many to choose from but graduation day is like a real action hero outfit


And this scene is simply burned into my soul. Every time I see this image, I get a swell of emotion.


I want this exact slo-moment on my shelf.

Same - I would get almost everyone, villains included, if they did Buffy figures.
Awesome costume choices for Buffy - that slo-mo trench coat look is gorgeous.
Graduation Day costume is awesome, just an absolutely iconic look and probably one of the more "cinematic" looks she ever wore on the show, probably my favourite look besides one other - I have always loved her Prophecy Girl look

Yeah sadly Buffy just dresses like “a girl”, so there’s not alot of clothing options. The most iconic would be the red leather pants or Prophecy girl dress.

I really need a Buffy figure. The series finale outfit with the scythe would be great too
And a Dark Willow. I can't believe Sideshow didn't even make it back in the day

Yeah there are so many better alternate looks we could have gotten besides those awful vampire versions of every character.

I would LOVE a high quality Buffy and Angel line that went reasonably deep. For me the must haves are:

Buffy
Must - Buffy, Angel, Spike, Willow, Xander, Giles, Faith
Nice to Have - Cordy, Oz, Tara, Glory, Darla

Angel
Must - Angel, Wes, Lorne, Charles, Cordy, Fred, Spike
Nice to Have - Iliria, Jasmine

Firefly
Must - The whole friggin' crew!!!
